Braided lines have very little stretch, so it offers excellent sensitivity to anything happening on the other end. This also means you can securely set hooks no matter what depth you are fishing in. Braid is very strong for its thickness, so you can get a lot on your reel, and it isn’t prone to degrading from constant exposure to UV rays. This means it maintains that break strength for a long time, even if used regularly. Additionally, braided lines have almost no memory, so they won’t retain their coiled shape when they fly off your reel.
