Transformative advance or cold fusion 2.0?

UPDATE: Monday, Dec 12, 2022 · 6:39:20 AM +00:00 · WaWyWyWa In the comments below jusjtim35 points to an excellent Twitter post (yes, I dislike linking to the dying bird, too) about the advance. In short, the advance using a massive laser system achieves the ignition of a fusion reaction with lasers rather than a nuclear fission explosion (if I follow correctly). There’s a major story breaking out of the Department of Energy today. An article in the Financial Times reports that scientists at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory have achieved a gain of energy in an experimental system, releasing 20% more energy than input into a system by lasers. There’s an announcement… Source link

SCIENCE AND THE FLOOD OF NOAH

SCIENCE AND THE FLOOD OF NOAH

(MENAFN– EIN Presswire) Carbon Dating, Cold Fusion, and a Curve Ball Author David D. Moon narrates scientific facts that relate to biblical events. TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA, December 9, 2022 /einpresswire.com / — David D. Moon states the great flood of Noah, found in the book of Genesis, chapter six-eight, gave way to the extensive element transmutations that occurred from intense hydrodynamics. The study of fossils, rocks, and minerals is deduced by paleontologists and geologists and can determine the ages of geologic strata in the Geologic Column. Scientists and researchers can find the radioactive dating methods useful, such as the radioactive decay of carbon 14, uranium 238, and thorium 232 found in fossils and minerals. The rate of the… Source link

(MENAFN– EIN Presswire) Carbon Dating, Cold Fusion, and a Curve Ball Author David D. Moon connects biblical stories to scientific facts. TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA, December 9, 2022 /einpresswire.com / — David D. Moon has worked in the field of cold fusion theory and is the proud inventor of a cold fusion energy device called the Nucleovoltaic Cell, a gadget designed to convert the release of nuclear fusion energy directly to electricity. In ‘carbon dating, cold fusion, and a curve ball,’ it states the probability of the great flood of Noah, found in the book of Genesis chapters six-eight, was the factor of the extensive element transmutations that occurred from intense hydrodynamics. Researchers and scientists use radioactive dating methods which… Source link

Utah would’ve benefitted greatly from an expanded playoff | Opinion

If you need another reason to expand the College Football Playoff — and you shouldn’t — look at the University of Utah, Exhibit A in the case against the system used to determine a national champion. The Utes are No. 8 in the CFP rankings; they are one of only two teams in the top 12 with three losses, and there’s a good reason for that. The Utes might be the hottest team in the country other than Michigan and Georgia. The Utes steamrolled No. 4 USC 47-24 in the Pac-12 championship game, producing perhaps their most impressive performance since the 2009 Sugar Bowl. USC is an all-star team that was bolstered by the arrival of 20 transfers in the offseason, including the front-runner for the Heisman Trophy. The team lost only two games all… Source link
