Watch Classic and Remote B.C. Couloir Skied for Second Time

Earlier this year, Michael Wirth travelled to a remote area in B.C.’s Selkirks to reach a once before skied line called Comstock Couloir. Wirth completed the second recorded descent of the line 14 years after Greg Hill completed the first.

“I did it in a continuous solo effort which yielded: 40 km (24.45 miles) 4.14 km (13,590 feet) of elevation gain in 14 hours and 15 minutes,” Wirth said. “This feat was one that challenged both my mind and body in the days preceding and throughout the expedition itself. Precision, thoughtfulness and a thorough respect for these mountains is what I attribute my successful journey to.”
