Classic and Remote B.C. Ski Line Skied for Second Time

Classic and Remote B.C. Ski Line Skied for Second Time

Backcountry skier and filmmaker Michael Wirth made the second known ski descent of Comstock Couloir on the remote Mount Dawson in the Selkirk Mountains. As Wirth said, Comstock Couloir is the least recorded climbed and skied line of all the 50 Classic Ski Descents of North America. “I successfully completed the second recorded ski descent 14 years after Greg Hill completed the first,” said Wirth. “I did it in a continuous solo effort which yielded: 40 km (24.45 miles) 4.14 km (13,590 feet) of elevation gain in 14 hours and 15 minutes.” This is my journey and battle to climb and ski the Comstock Couloir of Mt. Dawson in a single effort: Fourteen years ago, this line saw its first descent. Fourteen years went by with no one successfully recording a re-entrance into the… Source link

What Was the First Video Game?

Video games are one of the most popular forms of entertainment in the world. But what is the first video game ever created? The answer to that question is not as simple as you might think. The definition of a video game can be quite ambiguous, and there are several games that could lay claim to the title of “first video game.” In this article, we will explore the history of video games and discuss which game deserves the title of “first.” What defines a video game? There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, as the definition of a video game can vary depending on who you ask. The Flash’s Firestorm Cliffhanger Already Revealed Its Fakeout Trick

The Flash’s Firestorm Cliffhanger Already Revealed Its Fakeout Trick

The final scene of The Flash episode “Reckless” teased Ronnie Raymond being the Cold-Fusion Killer, but this doesn’t fit all the available evidence. Warning: The following contains SPOILERS for The Flash season 8, episode 10, “Reckless.” There’s a problem with the theory that the Cold-Fusion Killer of The Flash season 8 is former Firestorm Ronnie Raymond returned to life, despite the idea being teased by the cliffhanger of the episode “Reckless.” The idea was first floated when it was announced that actor Robbie Amell, who played Ronnie Raymond in earlier Arrowverse productions, would be returning to reprise the role sometime during The Flash season 8. While there are clues supporting the theory that a resurrected Firestorm is The… Source link

The Flash: Does the Black Fire Mystery Involve a Familiar Face?

The Flash has long struggled with the question of what to do with Frost, and her characterization has suffered as a result. It’s hard not to watch this episode and not see another in a long line of examples of the show choosing to write her in a way that fits the plot, rather than asking themselves if her behavior fits the character they’ve created. Frost’s line about having come into the world to protect Caitlin, so, of course, she wants to protect others is a great one—but does it really line up with the woman we’ve been watching the past few seasons? All I ask for is some consistency here. Plus, haven’t we sort of covered the “Frost is pointlessly sacrificial and Caitlin is upset” subplot before? Possibly even a couple of times? Anyway, thanks to a… Source link

7 MCU Characters Who Have An INTJ Personality Type

The Myers-Briggs Personality Type Indicator is a test that allows test-takers to see which of the 16 Myers-Briggs personality types they fall under. It’s largely a voluntary test, though it is used in some job interviews. It’s based on largely obsolete Jungian psychology, but it’s still a test that people like to take for fun to see what type they fall under. RELATED: Marvel: Ranking The Top 15 Members Of The Avengers By Personality The INTJ personality type stands for Introversion, Intuition, Thinking, and Judgment. This means that people of the INTJ personality tend to be lonely thinkers who enjoy planning, looking at the bigger picture, and accumulating objective information. INTJ personalities are introverted, ambitious, and logical. Sure enough, there are a handful of

The Vape Company at the Center of the FDA Storm

On the outskirts of Dallas, Texas, at an unassuming warehouse, two young men in scrubs carefully weigh out liquid nicotine. All they do is measure, actually. They move back and forth in a clean room, a carefully engineered space intended to keep out unwanted airborne particles. It almost sounds windy when you open the door. A computer spits out what they need—this much propylene glycol, this much vegetable glycerin, this much flavoring—before the e-liquid barrel moves onto a gyroscopic mixer. (Imagine a washing machine, and you won’t be too far off.) From there, about a dozen or so employees will bottle and label the e-liquid in an assembly line, readying it for either immediate distribution or storage. All the while, each ingredient has been tracked and has the… Source link
