‘The Flash’ 8×08 Recap: “The Fire Next Time”

The Flash continued the theme of ripping our hearts out with an episode that saw Barry trusting his gut when it came to the question of innocence regarding a murder suspect. When the bar owner of O’Shaughnessy’s is murdered, all signs point to a recently paroled fire-meta named Jaco Birch, also known as The Hotness.

However, it is during the arrest, which happens in front of Birch’s son, that makes Barry question whether or not he is guilty. Despite all the evidence pointing to him, Barry doesn’t believe he committed the murder. Unfortunately, the rest of the team doesn’t quite believe him, which causes Barry to feel alone and upset in his beliefs.
